Walking Without My Cane, a Video

I had my husband video me walking without my cane.  I attempted this in a hallway instead of outside because I knew I would need to catch myself against the wall.  If I fell outside on the sidewalk then neighbors would watch my husband pull me off the ground and I might get hurt.  Been there; done that; refuse to wear the t-shirt.

As I research the various theories on the cause of MS and then put each of those theories to the test I wanted a "before" treatment video.  So here it is.  It's embarrassing for me to even watch the video myself and think, "Ugh.  That's what I look like?"  Before MS tried to take over my life I was active.  I was 30 pounds thinner...and that was after having three babies.  But I want people with MS/disabilities to know they are not alone.  I want people who aren't familiar with MS or disability in general to be informed and understand our physical and emotional struggles.  So here I am putting aside my pride and dignity and allowing the world access to my life.

This video was filmed several months ago.  Currently I am recovering from foot and ankle surgery and will post about that later.
